VISION:
"Only One Sky - A microcosmic reflection of a macrocosmic reality."
Only One Sky Trans-nation-al is an international spiritual ministry initiated and hosted by Shivallah Dharma (Reverend Richard 'Shivallah' Lewis) with a vision of establishing a global network of "unity" conscious communities, founded through the life principle of interdependence. The vision of Only One Sky is also intended to inspire religious and political leaders of the world with the vision of a World Embassy for "Trans-denominational Religiousness", in order to dispel the ignorance of separation and restore the knowingness of true oneness.
Regardless of the differences in faiths, denominations, philosophies or cultural upbringing ... in truth there is only One Supreme Creator, One Life, One Spirit, One Truth from which the creative, nurturing and sustaining power of Unconditional Love arises.
The name "Only One Sky" has been chosen because of its ancient symbolism and metaphor of the understanding that the one Consciousness (being another name for the Divine) has no "opposite" nor "another" outside of itself that possesses a separate power or identity with the capacity to proclaim itself as an independent creator or life giver.
One of the most hidden and yet simple and profound truths regarding the nature of human exchange is that it is life that gives unto life. "Life gives unto Life" is a most beautiful and all-embracing expression with the inherent understanding that it is Life that giveth and Life that receiveth. A reminder for us (as fellow human beings) to take care of and share with one another freely and unconditionally.
And the life that we breathe, we breathe now. Life may appear to arise from the past and enter into a so-called future, but in reality life only happens in the present moment of now!
Life is a gift to be gratefully nurtured, shared and celebrated amongst all, for all receive the breath of the ONE Great Mystery through the ONE spirit of Life. Hence the recognition and declaration of all of humanity (for the sake of preservation) must be ...
"ALL OF LIFE IS SACRED"
This is the vision of Only One Sky. It may be a lofty one, but in truth the sky is more than lofty - it is immeasurably vast. And there is ... Only ... One ... Sky!
Symbolism of the Sky:
"Sky is very symbolic in eastern mysticism ... the greatest symbol there is. It means many things. One is: it is always present yet absent. It is present everywhere, yet absent. Its very way of presence is being absent. It exists by not being. The sky contains all and nothing contains the sky. The sky contains all and nothing contains the sky.
The sky penetrates everything and yet never interferes. It penetrates without trespassing. It is so non-violent. It accepts all; the sinner and the saint, the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly. It makes no distinctions; it has no likes, no dislikes. It is simply open and available to all, whosoever wants to partake of it. It makes no conditions. It is unconditionally everybody's; man and woman, animals, birds, trees, rocks, stars and sun. It surrounds you within and without ... without ever touching you.
And these are the qualities of the Divine. It is choiceless. The acceptance is total; Buddha calls it tathata. The sky exists in a state of tathata, suchness; whatsoever is the case is good. Clouds come and go; the sky remains, it abides." - Osho
Official Flag for Only One Sky Foundation:
The design of a flag (as used by nations) is really founded on the use of archetypal geometric shapes and colors with the intention of using sacred symbolism to convey a vision and/or principle of life. Humans, being creatures of habit however, tend to only see the flag as a symbol of concept, value and ethic connected to the land, society and nation that they believe they belong to, rather than utilizing the potential of sacred geometry, thereby translating it into a meditative activity for the purpose of spiritual visioning.
Eventually we significantly reduce and forget the visual potency of the symbols through the construction of a written constitution in order to remind one another (intellectually) of what we collectively agree to and what promotes and sustains a sense of harmonious togetherness. In a world taken over by the mind, how can we remember that the "power of love" is the original well-spring of higher knowledge and divine law, conveyed through the faculty of intuition and reflected by the symbolisms within nature?
There is an art-form in both India and Tibet that uses archetypal geometric forms, common within all of existence, as a tool for meditation and devotion. They are known as "Yantras". Yantra comes from the root "yam", which means supporting, holding or sustaining the essence of an object or concept. "tra" comes from "trana" or liberation from bondage. It also means liberation from the cycle of birth and rebirth. The geometrical forms of the yantra activate the right hemisphere of the brain, which functions in a visual and nonverbal way.
In regards to the symbols used for "Only One Sky", the white point at the center of the flag signifies unity, the origin, the principle of manifestation and emanation. Meditation or concentration on this point brings the mind towards a single-pointed awareness as a first step to recognizing the vast and formless purity of consciousness. Through the radius (radiance) of desire, the point of origin extends and expands out into existence as the circle of life and in so doing, gives birth to the individuation of consciousness.
For now, I hope that this will be enough information about the flag design that has been chosen. Remembering that "Only One Sky" is a microcosmic reflection of a macrocosmic reality, so too has the design been kept to universal primordial symbols. It may appear to be simplistic at first, but after gazing at the flag for a brief time, you may find the experience centering and powerful enough to transport you into further insight and hopefully a deepening appreciation of the vision and purpose of Only One Sky Trans-nation-al.
